But still, this is pretty sad: The way that one can lose control like that.
By no means is it just those cookies but also electronics, and drugs, and gambling, and shopping, and so forth that create a change of focus from what one knows to be right.
A few verses that come to mind:
Proverbs 20:1-Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise. Prov. 6:27- Can a man scoop fire into his lap without his clothes being burned? Colossians 3:1-2- If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. James 4:7- Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Where is your focus, anyway? Oreos, etc? | The world is a bad, sinful place. Oreo-addictions, for example, arent healthy, and we know it. If we follow worldly ways, we're going to get hurt- more than just cavities, or their like. God says we have better things to do than eat oreos all day. He says that he will help. God's guidance is for the best plan in all situations. |
