Diapers contain special hydro gels that absorb the moisture from... within diapers. Online I have seen various claims that the gels, taken from clean diapers, of course, (and these gels can be separately bought in stores, for those of you that are sane ☺) are environmentally friendly for soil, non toxic and can help make watering plants easier.
Back in the late fall this idea sparked my interest since we do have a small plot with onions, tomatoes, peppers, flowers, etc during the summer. Even then, it was clear that the specific video I embedded below has its faulty exagerations, but expecting results in less extreme proportions, I'm actually trying this radical technique- and will have an update- this summer.
In the mean while, do you believe it? Do you think, after viewing the video, this can be beneficial? Would you try it?
