Over if they last, what sort of markers to use, if the colors stay the same after being baked, if they can be put in the dishwasher, etc.
So this is what I'm doing to test the project out; In 2 weeks I'll let you know how it went.
Rubbing Alcohol (or baby wipes)
A pencil (Optional)
Step 1: Clean your mugs off- you dont want fingerprints on your artwork and test your markers, just in case :) Your mugs dont have to be anything special- mine were $1 each and of assorted sizes.
Step 2: If you want to plan it out, pencil your design in on your mug. (You do have a design in mind, right?) When you are ready, get out your sharpies and go at it until you are happy with your mug. Wipe off any mess-ups with the rubbing alcohol if you need to.
***At this point if you have a message in mind, you can use this separate DIY to do that really easily.
Step 3: Let them sit for 24 hours to dry and stick them in the oven.
Step 4: To prevent cracking, with your mug/s in the oven, preheat to 425. At that point, start timing for 35 minutes.
Step 5: When the time is up, turn off the oven, but dont open it or get them out. Let them sit until you are sure they are good and cool.
Step 6: Test!
