Okay so I have had this for about a month. It is amazing and I really cant express it enough. Whether you like typing or not, there is no point to type something which has been nice and typed already!

If you have anything that needs to be re-typed (quotes, lyrics, a lab procedure, etc etc) this is exactly what you need. It scans things perfectly right into your document or page!

Its a very sleek clean tool with no buttons or ways to mess up. Hold it like a highlighter and scan, scan, scan!

Cons: The program takes a few hours to install on a computer when you first get it. After that, I know this will last years and years and save sooo much time and hassle.

Listen to what I have to say in this short clip:

Can Martin and Rhea overcome their past so that they’re free to love again?

My Review:

What drew me into this book was that the characters were real. None of this "just romance" than I first was afraid I had gotten myself into based on the nice and mushy cover.....

No, this book covers grief, self esteem challenges, financial setbacks, wanting relationships. etc.  Marvin speaks Spanish well enough that he is able to have a largely Hispanic congregation and give opportunity to those that otherwise would not be as successful in the English culture here.

The book was a collage of weighty conflicts of realistc people and realistic lives... but it also took time to describe some pretty rockin' desserts, lol. Gotta love good food :)

I would say that my favorite part of reading this book (although I have to say I loved that it was a quick read and its quite inexpensive) was that the characters were largely unknowing of what was going on around them. It was great fun to anticipate how these things would play out!

All in all, I read it easily in an afternoon and can easily rate this book to be a solid 4 Stars. If you get a free afternoon this spring, you really should look into it.

I can recommend it to everyone and anyone, and specifically to those that are into realistic fiction and/or struggling with new beginnings after any sort of challenge.  If you are interested, you can read a sample of the book here as well as purchase the book from Amazon in the Kindle Edition. It is not currently available in Paperback or Hardcover.

Aqua-Modesta Swimming Hair Covering

Wow, this might be like my first clothes post here.

Definitely not going to be my last.

Place: Aqua Modesta

Motto:
SHOP MODEST   SWIM MODEST
  BE MODEST

Target Customers:
Orthodox Jewish community

The other day, one of my friends was surprised that I love to swim, and when I say I love to swim-- I mean: I LOVE to swim.

But anyone that knows me knows that for faith reasons, I wear a head covering.....

Which creates an issue: wearing a head covering and going swimming dont exactly mix....

Or so I thought!

Fortunately I came across
AquaModesta a company from NY that sells modest swimwear and sportwear (a skant!) for girls and ladies. I asked them to send me a swim covering and they were totally happy to do so.

Needless to say:
I give this 5 Stars, something you'll want to bring for all your swimming needs!

I totally love it!
Its going to be so awesome going swimming as it warms up!

Its this great elasticy/swim-suit material (shown below, lol) and fits nicely over my long-haired bun.

I have the D model which hangs like a veil. It runs $18 online.

You can really wear it at the hair line or a bit farther back, which I plan to do.

1) Wearing it at the hair line is the best for your hair and protects the most UV wise. Its sort of a "sporty" look but I'm a afraid of it being a bit too much of the standard swim-cap "cancer patient" look for me. (You can see what I'm talking about below)

2) A bit farther back is where I wear my normal covering, which is somewhat similar in design (Win!). I use clips to secure it where I like it to sit best, but you wouldnt need them at the hair line... more hair= more friction.

You can see both options in the images here, glasses and no glasses too!

Overpriced Clothes and a Easy Solution w/ Linky

SALE UPDATE: Until April 3, all orders will come with 10% to 40% credit. You can double these!!!

Overpriced clothing is annoying.

Have you ever been shopping, say at the mall, and you see this pair of cute shoes you like in a window, and hey, they're on sale so, what have you got to loose... Lets go take a look, you tell yourself.

But when you go in, you see that they're $175 on sale for $95.

It's a huge sale, sure, but still: way. too. expensive.

And all of a sudden you're uber-mad at the store for being so overpriced..... . Because you really liked that pair of shoes, or handbag, or pair of sunglasses, or dress, or whatever it was. And do they think money grows on trees???

And here is the solution: Twice.

Twice is an online discount store that snags all the high- end goodies and gives them to you at a fraction of the cost.

At first, I was interested in a similar site ThreadUp but I recommend Twise 10x over ThreadUp because ThreadUp is merely a online yard sale (update:they call it a online thrift store) and although they have a greater spectrum of things they sell -they also sell baby clothes, outerwear, and such- most of the time you get a lot less quality because of "Tiny Flaws" which include spots, stains,  missing accessories/ buttons, and cracks (as with a pair of boots I pulled up) You can't see anything on their site before creating an account by handing over your email address and a password so I won't waste any more of your time, enough said. You've been warned about them.

Ahem. Anyway.....And like BJs, there are always sales on Twice. Yesterday is was 10% off but convieniently it ended at midnight yesterday.

UPDATE: Until April 3, all orders will come with 10% to 40% credit. You can double these!!!

If yousign up with me, I'll give you $10 credit to get you started. Deal? Deal.

If you sell something from the back of your closet, they'll pay you for it (and for shipping)

And I'll give you $10 more.

Yeah. It's pretty cool. I happen to really like Twice and the steals they have.

Let me show you what I ordered last

Sadly I had to pay shipping, making my total 4.95 more, because the subtotal wasnt enough... I'll live though.
