A baby sitter I had when I was 3- 5 had a swing set like this. It had a 2 and 4 person glider, a slide which was on the right, and some regular swings. I think it was blue and white metal, though, maybe green. I remember a girl named Abigail who was a relative of theirs, and leaving some pillows outside once overnight :) And then there was the time we saw (this was maybe when I was 7) some wild turkeys in the backyard and she didnt believe us. Her husband and I share a birthday. And she would make the best hotdogs by frying them in butter. The next picture there is a similar idea.\ My dad had these and I remember them too. There was a garage thing that went with them, but not sure if that was from his era or mine. Many of his toys were wooden, and then there was the weirdo with the light eye thing. I forget what that was but it creeped me out. :( When I was 10 or so this was my favorite. Remember the antenna? Like the TV set. The reception (even with the antenna) was absolutely terrible, but it was good for one thing: The bowling game. I had it mastered and although I was supposed to share it with my sister... that never happened. I'd play bowling until the battery was dead. And at that point, I'd complain. If I remember right, its somewhere underneath my bed right now. No doubt with a dead battery. Scooters! Best. Gym. Class. Ever. | The local high school office has one of these lying around to taunt kids with. It says "The Board of Education" I dont know whether to laugh or cry. We had this too! Although at some point the brown piece at the top got loose. I just remember it as annoying :/ We also had the tree thing with the letters. Also annoying. Anyone else head that female voice: (notes of sorts) See you later! The local muncipal park has these. There are two, blue and not McDonalds-y and connected by an awesome passageway thing. Some of the bars were far enough apart that you could climb in/out a lot easier. And there are a few sets of swings and a dinasour slide. And more sets of slides and a firepole thing, and a tic tac toe thing and those walkways that move when you walk across them. The church I went to when I was little had these up front. I would always mark the pages before the service started. We sat the last row in the back left. I almost took out my sisters eye with these once. She was like 1 or 2. |
