The calendar on my PC is reminding me that June is almost over. It cant be right. I mean, if its the end of June, that means that Ive been blogging for 6 months now.... and that cant be right either. It feels like I'm a much less experienced blogger than that.

I just dont know what to say about this notion either... you tell me: Does it seem like we're already six months thru the year? This is a giveaway option- 2 points :) Keep reading for more info.

It gets worse: Rafflecopter (which I use for giveaways) is telling me that its been over three months since I've had a giveaway open. I cant give my vierers and subscribers the thrill of winning a giveaway if I'm not actually *hosting any*, can I?

This cant be right in my mind either, but fortunately it is something that I can handle, because there is a really awesome website called Fiverr that I use (but haven't told my viewers and subscribers about) and things are lining up.... well, perfectly actually. I mean, right as I completely change my blog design as well.

But as I was saying, Ive told you about Swagbucks (here) and ChatAbout (here) two money-making websites I use,  but Fiverr is significantly different than them both: With Fiverr, you can hire people (as a buyer) to do servises for $5 or act as a seller in the same fashion to your own hypothetical gigs/ servises... getting a lot of traffic quite easily. This is nothing to the top users, but Fiverr is telling me that one of my gigs- stationary- has gotten 100K. You can see my other gigs here.

Now, here is where my giveaway comes in: I'm giving 1 lucky winner $10 in PayPal cash, which will let you get any 2 Fiverr gigs that you like, or anything else for that matter.

Your gig options include everything from photoshopping to boosted social traffic, online tutoring to ebook covers, resumes to puppet messages, postcards to intros and commercials, voicemail greetings to cookbook recipes, celebrity imposters to weight loss tutoring... and more.  If its any less overwhelming, you can explore all the categories on Fiverr on your own; click here.

Also, feel free to comment here and I can share more info no-problem (or search on Fiverr yourself if you'd like) ....but without further ado, the giveaway... and weekly linky, too :)

*** You only have to be 13 to use Fiverr; get your family involved too, here.

Made It Thru Monday: Pale Girl Probs

*** Yesterday I published this just barely "in time" for my email subscribers only to ask myself, what makes this funny exactly?

Nonetheless, sometimes I forget that I have fair skin, only to remember again when I dont reapply sunscreen
in time, as directed, to save myself from sunburn... Happens to most of us in the end, right? :(

And then I really do remember that when I'm not trying the lobster- red look, that I'm pale.
Pale enough that my arm goes all "roadmap"  especially when I'm stressed, exercising,  etc and have dilated veins....

But thats beside the point, isnt it?

Well, here we go with Part 1 of "Pale Girl Probs" ....and a few jokes I've discovered too that I stuck awkwardly at the bottom:

Picture
Drum roll, please....
Picture
You learn something new every day...
Picture
What do you mean, I'm just going out to get the mail?
Picture
just kidding; this has nothing to do with the post.
Picture
Sort of. I get like 5.... for a week
Picture
Perhaps though, were better off *with* it in the long run
Picture
Yup. Proven once again. As for the next one, in the end....
Picture
Q. What do you do with a blue whale?
A: Cheer it up, of course.
Q. Whats green and has wheels?
A: Grass.... I lied about the wheels.
Q: How do you keep someone in suspense?
A: I'll tell you later / *walks away casually*

*** I'm continuing Fridays "Would You Rather" post (link here, with a linky) with a religious twist. As many of you know, I generally do my "faith" posts on Wednesday, but I have to publish this earlier in the week than I strive to because I am going to be away.   I encourage you to participate in that post as well as this one.

**Note: Once hitting "vote" you get to see the results automatically. Hit the back button to answer another one. (It really is less tedious than it sounds)

(And like the last one, my email subscribers may need to click "Read In browser" for the html)

Refer to the bold below for a challenge... or two while I am away.

Would you rather...?

Romans 12:2 says:
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Matthew 6:20 says:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Now its your turn. Comment with your own questions and/ or if you know any scriptures that correlate with the ones below. Easy right?  **Possible answers revealed in 2 weeks :)

Music Review: Mercy's Vessel

Artist: Mercy's Vessel
Albums:
"He Paid the Price" and "I'm Out of Here" (2012)
Genre: Southern Gospel; Bluegrass
Website: http://mercysvessel.org/

Background Info: The group is from here in PA, has been together since 2007, and since then has recorded 5 albums, three of which are honorably archived. In their music, they try to boast not themselves, but the Christ-filled "
Message in the Music" that they sing of.

Recently, some of my family (but not me) was able to attend one of Mercy's Vessel's events, and they came home saying how they loved the evening and that I
would have enjoyed the it as well. I knew that I had to request copies of "He Paid the Price" and "I'm Out of Here" to review and thus for myself and my viewers- local and distant- to enjoy.

The first thing that you notice is that they seem to be a quartet running one man short, but with a Lead, Tenor, and Baritone singer singing to the instrumental accompaniment accordingly there is an abundance of both sound and harmony in each track.

I asked my sister, who was at the concert and spent a few moments listening to songs on the albums, both, for a few words to describe the group and in her words she declares the music to be uplifting, the lyrics easy-to-understand, that the men mean what they sing, that their message itself is great, etc.

It is interesting to note that they don't rely on the instrumental backgrounds or allow them to drown out the lyrics; the instruments however do add to make the music very lively and upbeat. That said, I can see myself listening to these albums when I am upset for encouragement even as I can whole heatedly recommend the CD album for everyday use. :)

As for individual songs themselves, they are all new to me. My favorites, if you have heard them include:

From "He Paid the Price:
  • Sweet Blessed Land Of Beulah
  • We Are Those Children
  • Keep On The Firing Line

From "I'm Out of Here":
  • A Vessel of Mercy
  • I'm Out of Here
  • Plain Ol' Everyday People
Along with the video above, they also have a "music box" on their page to sample/ listen to songs.

As stated online, "
Mercy’s Vessel is a "Love Offering" based ministry and does not have a set "fee" for their appearances. We believe that as God allows, we will work with any church or group so that all may be Blessed!"

If you are interested in buying a copy or two of one/ both albums, know that they are not available for purchase thru Amazon. So you'll have to order via an email found at this link, also above.

That said, coming up soon, this group is coming to CAMS South on June 22 (with the Bontrager Family) as a part of Webber's Correct and Tours. Advanced tickets ($8) you can order by calling (717) 264 5138 or (717) 860 3401. Likewise, tickets at the door are $10, and children 12 & under can come free. (More information is - for this and other events- here)
