Hey, that image looks alot like my camp! I think the mountains are a little different, at least in my memory, but its pretty creepy how close it is!

Anyway, Part 1 wasnt as big of a hit as I would Have liked. Lets try again :)

And for you fellow "day glow" peoples, just remember that almost all the orangy covergirls get *skin cancer*

Search it!

That would be me, of all people.

Nope. I mean, its either the cancer or the chemicals that will kill ya first, so....

Okay so I was totally excited to get this demin skirt. Everyone says that you need a long denim skirt in your wardrobe and this is the first one that Ive had a strong interest in....

Its great that I was able to get this skirt from Kosher Casual and I love it so much!

You definitely do need a denim skirt in your wardrobe and might I be so bold to recommend this one....

Pros:
  • Well sewn
  • Good denim
  • Fits!
  • Just perfectly floor-length on me as advertised Dont you just hate when maxi skirts only go to mid calf?
  • Dress Up or Down
  • The product can be for an adult or a tall girl
  • Modest skirt
  • It was really cool that they were willing to ship this skirt from overseas:

Picture
Another Pro: Once it got in the country, it took like 47 hours (not quite two days) to show up at my house which was totally awesome!

And who can resist candy in foreign wrappers

Ive worn this skirt one evening to a 3 hr play, to school, and for a evening at the Y playing racquetball.... perfect choices!

It really is true to size and just as modeled so I'll give you a stock photo from their website and then a video of me twirling :)

I was going to make a more respectable video, but it was way too sunny. Still, I couldnt resist twirling in my new full skirt, right?

Short post today, but please check out the new background I have on my blog. Its bright and sunny now and less dark looking.

Also there is are two giveaways running here and it would totally be in your best interest to check them out here.
_____

Lately this gets on my nerves a lot and sure I have a lot of awesomer posts saved up (both about this topic and other stuff) but I feel the need to write this one this week.

When a holiday comes around (or homecoming, prom, etc) girls around here take to wearing a dress to church.

They are distracting to everyone!

We have the female half of the class adjusting themselves so that their dress stays to whatever goal cleavage "coverage" theyre looking for and the male half of the class trying to direct their eyes away from the skirts that only barely cover these same girls' hips.

Lesson? What lesson? No one can even focus for all their minds are preoccupied with all this nonsense.

Its really annoying, but (cough) who am I to complain about something that my church doesnt?!?!

Sigh.

But who can argue over this one?

Picture
Some of the "Christian swimsuit shops" that Ive seen online dont really cut it for me either... Sure you may have some elaborate bow covering the cleavage area but in neon orange, whose eyes are really going to miss it?

And it gets on my nerves.

There was a time when I was all wanting to wear booty shorts and low cut V necks and all that stuff, but thats not really how I approach life now.

I think, no matter who you are, it comes down to a priorities thing and who you want to serve:

The World? God?

Whatever you want to wear as summer gets warmer, I just want to give you all the memo that you can only serve one Master.

Shampoo bars again :)

My hair routine goes something like this:

Day 1: mid afternoon oil up a lot with straight castor or coconut oils. Castor is really sticky so I'll let it sit just as for a few            hours so not to cause tangles.
detangle (with my Tangle Teezer brush if I already did this "Day Zero") later in the evening
use a shampoo bar to wash my hair
          Let dry loose overnight
Day 2: Throw in a bun in the morning and go
My hair wont have completely dried so I'll let it air dry some more that evening and put it up again after oiling
Day 4: Take down hair and fingercomb it out
Oil it up with something light like jojoba oil and put it in a bun again
Day 7: Take it down and see if it needs to be brushed out or just finger combed. There is a 90% chance the answer is just to finger comb it- I dont get tangles much
Oil the ends if they are dry
Day 9: Repeat Day 7
Day 12: Repeat Day 7 and oil if you didnt on Day 9. Perhaps brush out just to loosen scalp oils that are building up a                  little
Day 14 This will be a Friday-- Repeat Day 1.

How does this happen? That I only rarely have to wash my hair?

Because shampoo bars are awesome! They clean the hair shaft and scalp and leave little to no residue unlike the commercial (liquid) shampoos you see.

Instead, they are healthy, natural, and even have essential oils to promote hair growth!

That was exactly my experience with these bars. My sister and I have been testing two of them out this past month and they are great!

Nicole of Coley Soaps told me "I first set out to make my shampoo soap to avoid chemicals in commercial soaps. The "no-poo" of baking soda didn't work for my hair type, but I found this bar works great for me, my husband, and some of my more "adventurous" friends and family who have decided to try it out"

She gave me:
Bright Spot---Made with Lemongrass, Lavender and Ylang Ylang essential oils, and dried Rose Petals Smells sweet.
Little Bear----Made with Cedarwood, Sweet Orange and Lavender essential oils, and dried Orange Peel. Smells woody.

The plan originally was to test one/ give away one, but that sort of fell through the floor... turns out me and my sister had different ideas about which was better to try ourselves :)

Plan B is to give away half of the Little Bear (YELLOW) Bar which I totally am excited about!

($3 value, but easily 25 shampoos)

Also, she shared a sample and full size skin restoration balm that her dad, Stephen A. DeSantis, MD, a well-known trauma surgeon and Chief of Surgery at Mission Viejo Hospital in California, formulated. These are pretty amazing!

He writes: I am a general and trauma surgeon with over thirty years of experience. I have been compounding my own hand conditioning products since 1990. Over the years, “scrubbing in” and alcohol-containing antiseptics wrecked havoc on my hands. Cracked and dry skin was a continual problem for me. Excellent skin integrity was the primary requirement of surgeons of the past. This requirement would have disqualified me in the pre- glove era of a century ago. Even with gloves, I had to work out a solution to maintain my skin integrity in order to continue in my profession. The Nature’s 22 formula was born.
With its success, I have been able to continue my practice in general and trauma surgery to this day. I have made countless batches of my compound and supplied nurses and patients with it for years with great results. As the formula has evolved, the rapidity of skin restoration has improved. The current formula, which was perfected April 2012, is the result of feedback from many health care professionals and colleagues. I use only the most natural and organic compounds available to achieve optimum skin restoration. The 22 natural and organic ingredients used are the direct result of my 20+ years of experimentation and refinement.

Please use the sharing buttons on the right to get the word out of this giveaway! I'm leaving this one open 1 week longer just for someone that could use the chance to win!

Promising the balm "Restores and Replenishes Dry, Cracked Skin" I have to agree. Its seems great for healing blemishes on my face and there are lots of great reviews from traumatic injuries here

**Directions: Apply to affected areas as needed or several times per day. External use only.
