Well just look at us- One day down already, we can handle these next four, right?

I cant say for you, but I'm generally not a cartoon reader, Still, I went and compiled a few of the Nancy Comic Strip, which I think are amusing and maybe even a little inspirational. Do you read comics, aka the funnies?

Thats pretty much all I have-- other than that Swagbucks is having a promotion where if you
haven't signed up the website for yet, now's your chance. Among all the other ways to earn SB for gift cards, you can also earn back many for every dollar you spend shopping online via Swagbucks Shop & Earn. So, here's an exclusive way for you to get even more bonus Bucks: If you sign up for Swagbucks through *my link* here anytime before May 7th, and make a purchase of $25 or more via Swagbucks Shop & Earn, (because lets face it, somewhere between now and then you will need to order something... why just shop online if you can do so while getting paid for it? ) you will get a 500 SB Bonus! That's enough for a $5 gift card, in addition to all the Swag Bucks you earn from your online shopping purchase itself.  To get started, all you have to do is sign up through any of the identical links in this post, and start shopping with Swagbucks Shop & Earn. For official rules, see below.

Music Review: Mansion Over The Hilltop (Meadath's)

Artist: The Meadath Family
Album: Mansion Over The Hilltop
Website: N/A

Background Info: This family group is from Pennsylvania and has recorded one album, which I asked to review. Its actually an interesting story, because a few months ago, a friend of mine, and subscriber to my blog, had shared that her family loves the album, but when I looked into it, I was unable to find it for purchase online. Until a few weeks ago, that is when I saw a review of the album on another blog.... which was totally awesome.

Especially, being that its a really good album.

Like the last music review I did, this one does have instruments: guitars, banjo, dobro (I'd never heard of it either- its a guitar) and mandolin...  and well as
9 voices, of the parents and their gang of kids.

The first thing that I noticed when I first skimmed the songs was that there is an abundance, as you might expect, of children voices. The type of sound to it that young kids love to listen to and enjoy singing along with, as well as the rest of us.

As far as the songs go, I've heard the "Grandpa- Tell Me 'Bout T
he Good Old Days" number covered by a different group, the Collingsworth Family. Likewise, with "What a Friend We Have In Jesus" a well known hymn. These versions have a totally different sound, even though I can say that I like them just as much.

My favorite song is called "The Letter"
and presents a reminder of God's love all around us. Next might be "Daddy's Girl" an amusing song about well, being Daddy's girl, for lack of better words.

If you are interested in buying a copy or two of the album, it is important  to note that the Meadath's don't have a website, nor are they selling thru Amazon. Instead, all orders need to be emailed to dmeadath@ gmail.com (get rid of the space, of course) at $13, with with $2 for shipping, or $15 total. As I understand, there is a discount for

Although I don't have any Youtube samples of support, the album is worth every cent; I can whole heatedly recommend them.

I'm "stealing" this post, in doing a repeat theme today. But no biggie :)

Its actually really nice because Ive been taking some music from YouTube videos, under fair use or some such loophole of piracy, to download as look to find groups that are interested in getting reviews (I have one coming this Saturday) which makes it easy to go thru history and throw a few videos, come Wednesdays, together.

***You may have to read in browser to see the videos; I promise that they are, in fact, there.

Okay, looks like this last one takes it 46 seconds over; hope it makes you smile!

A Memory Worth Dying For by Joanie Bruce (Book Review)

I'm very sorry that I havent had any books to review lately, or anything else. Most of the ones that have been offered are these horrible girl-grows-up-and-leaves-her-good-Godly-home-for-the-world stories where they portray sin as acceptable.... Not what I'm going to promote, let me tell ya!

All complaining aside, today I do have a book to share, a good one.

A Memory Worth Dying For by Joanie Bruce
Published March 10, 2014
I was sent an ebook from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
This post includes affiliate links.

The Goodreads introduction/ summary:

“DO NOT RETURN TO TEXAS!”

Marti Rushing gets the message, loud and clear. If she returns to Texas, her life is in danger. If she stays in Tennessee, she’s safe. But when she receives a letter telling her that Daniel, her ex-husband and the love of her life, is dying, she knows she has to defy the stalker and return to Texas to see him.

Three years ago, Daniel accused her of things she couldn’t remember doing. Without waiting for an explanation and after four wonderful years of marriage, Daniel kicks her off of his family’s Quarter Horse ranch. Now, three years after their separation, he walks into her art reception in Tennessee and acts like he doesn’t remember her. Does the memory loss have anything to do with the letter she received, or is Daniel pretending? Is he the one stalking her, or is it someone with a deadly, sinister motive? Ignoring the deadly warnings, she leaves for Texas, but on the way there, the attempts on her life begin. Will she be able to evade her pursuer’s attacks? Or will Daniel’s face be the last one she sees?
