Isnt this the most wonderful combination of topics?

It only recently occurred to me that not everyone uses Swagbucks. Honestly. And that that has to change, because Swagbucks is just awesome, especially once you convince yourself that "Swag" is "Saved With Amazing Grace".

So what is it? you ask. Well, Swagbucks is a site that lets you earn points really easily, which you can redeem for all sorts of giftcards, and even donate to charity if you want. You can earn these points for doing all the thing you already do- playing games, using coupons, watching videos, searching the web, etc.

So you want to join? Its extremely simple: Either clickhere, or the "sign up" tab of the widget below. Dont forget to click "I have a sign up code" and enter "best500mgr" to start with a bonus 70 SwagBucks, for a total of 100. (Offer good until March 7, and only with my link). Signing up is free and you wont be asked to give over your personal identity information.

Also, you can enter Swag Codes, which are released almost everyday.... these are posted all over the internet, but to save us all a lot of effort, this website has been set up to give notifications (email, pop-up, and text). Certain days have tons of them, and you dont want to miss out.

I can recommend setting Swagbucks as your homepage, but Ive found that setting it as a bookmark toolbar is just fine as well. Likewise, completing Daily Polls and NOSO's (No Obligation Special Offers) as well as taking advantage of the downloadable Toolbar are easy ways to earn some money without actually putting out much effort.

If things are going good, I can average about 50 SB daily, for only a few minutes of my time, and it transfers to one $5 Amazon giftcard every 9 days. 9 Days!

Want one? Feel free to enter my giveaway for a $5 Amazon giftcard, or better yet sign up for your own, guaranteed. Again, dont forget to click "I have a sign up code" and enter "best500mgr" to start with a bonus 70 SwagBucks, for a total of 100. (Offer good until March 7 and only with my link).

Growing in Grace: Killing with Kindness

I realized while drafting this, that my example makes me seem like an unethical person, but that not my intent. I merely think the story it fits the post.

Way back in the first grade, I was bullied by a little boy that called me names, pulled at my hair, and altogether made me want to cry. I was new to the school, and all thru elementary I remembered being scared of him.But then he moved away. Not far, by any standards, but still at enough of a distance that he was sent to a different, closer elementary.

But lately, I've seen him again. Never in a situation where we were to talk, but still there, close enough to make me slightly uncomfortable. Add that to the fact that I am the type of person that holds door out for people often, and you have the perfect recipe for me having to show this said person kindness.

So was the case just the other day.  I could hear his distinct voice behind me, talking to someone or another, as we approached the top of the stairwell... I didn't like this situation and against my usual actions, I found myself thinking that it would be so much more satisfying to ensure the doors closure, maybe say some rude remark just to serve him right.

But I didnt. I held the door, like a mature person and he muttered "thank you". No worries; the world clearly didn't end.

I say all that to say how the situation made me think of how the Bible tells us to love our enemies, pray for them, and "kill them with kindness" so to speak. You can read such instruction in places such as Matthew 5:44, Luke 6:35, and Romans 12:17;1 9-20.

No one said that choosing love is always easy, we just know that it is always best.

PS: I'm not only holding my weekly linky Friday, but opening a giveaway, too!

Writing Confession

Every now and then, I'm asked what an "authoress" is, as seen on my about me over on the right. Giving the dictionary.com answer of "a woman or girl that writes" always reminds me of the all the writing that I've set aside and or forgotten completely. Its like this:

Person 1 : I'm writing a book
Person 2 : Really ? Neither am I.

I love to read and I love to write, too, but it seems that every time I get a so-called "brilliant" idea for a novel, life gets in the way. Then, before I know it, I hardly know my characters anymore and feel that anything I would bother to write would be pathetic. No, pathetic squared.

The truth is that the last piece that I even finished was a ten chapter sequel for a book project in 7th grade.
(You can read it here). It seems that I'm hardly a authoress at all, never have been, never will be....

I know, though, that I can do it, finish a manuscript, and that's why I'm seriously going to be putting some effort into the book that I started plotting back over the summer.

Have you ever started a book? Ever finished one?
Care to give me a bit of encouragement along this writing journey?

Well, in any event, o
n to the linky!
