In Sunday School, my peers mentioned things like summer camps and small group Bible studies.
I think, in brief, I would answer this question that individual time, just God and us, is critical to our relationship. Time we talk and God teaches us things; time that we have an attitude of repentance "Sorry, God. You were right, I'll do things your way now" and make that 180 turn toward being in harmony with out Almighty God.
There is a lot of things that can bring us closer to God if we choose to let them.
But I bring this up because while I dont participate in any local Bible Studies, I do like to listen to sermons online to read religious books. Constantly, I have to remind myself that these things cant replace the individual time where I get into the Bible and just pray.
Time when I read the Bible and draw meaning instead of someone else telling me what to think... I think that this is very important.
So here I have a video from a series, sort of an individual Bible study. Its similar to a devotional... only with sound effects. :)
I really like Jon's videos, and they make me "hunger" to read more of the Bible. Let me know what you think of this one and if you would like me to post his "A Day in the Word" videos more often.
Enjoy!!
