Personality is the most important thing about your character.
So, whenever I see character sheets, most people just put a little paragraph for that section. If you’re struggling and don’t know what your character should say or do, what decisions they should make, I guarantee you that this is the problem.
You know your character’s name, age, race, sexuality, height, weight, eye color, hair color, their parents’ and siblings’ names. But these are not the things that truly matter about them.
On Mental and Physical Disabilities or Illnesses
Generally everything about your character should connect, but hey, even twins that grew up in the same exact household have different personalities; they value different things, have different beliefs. Maybe one of them watched a movie that had a huge impact on them.
Not everything needs to be explained. Someone can be picky or fussy ever since they were little for no reason at all. Someone can be a negative person even if they grew up in a happy home.
I believe this is a thought out layout for making well-rounded OCs, antagonists and protagonists, whether they’re being created for a roleplay or for a book. This layout is also helpful for studying Canon Characters if you’re looking to accurately roleplay as them or write them in fanfiction or whatever.
Hey all, I wanted to give a blog update.
Last summer, I scheduled a lot of posts on my blog. And then when I got to college in August I completely forgot I had a blog.
If you asked me whether I had a blog, and I might have said no.
It wasnt a conscious choice to stop blogging, I never said that it didnt matter to me anymore, not even to myself. But it happened. School was a lot. I was working and studying, and so I neglected my blog.
I still have a lot drafted mind you. I want to post or schedule as much of that as I can in the next few weeks while I have a month between semesters.
But also I expect that a lot of my values and interests have changed since I created my blog. I still have things from my freshman year of high school drafted and here I am in my freshman year of college and I'm not sure that I would want to post the same things I wanted to post them.
So I might end up deleting some things and not posting them at all. Not sure.
I also have another matter I have to settle: What happens when there are no more posts scheduled? What happens when there are no more drafts?
I think that I do want to continue blogging. If I do, the background will probably change. The name will not. It might not be until next summer, when I have another long break.
Either way, I will always leave my blog up (I hate when blogs get taken down!!) but the content might change and I felt like I had to say that. Now, and next summer, I will have grown. I cant promise my blog will be the same as its been.
When I started blogging, I blogged humor on mondays, faith on wednesdays and a misc. thing on fridays. The I posted monday and friday one week and wednesdays the next. No, I think when I started it was tuesdays and thursdays. Well, no matter.
If I start again, I might change the schedule up. It might not be humor and faith and misc. Even now, its a lot less humor and more just life, things, what interests me.
We'll see. If anyone still checks in on my blog, please leave a comment. Let me know what you'd like to see and I could possibly cater to that. I'm certainly willing to try.
